Hermione Corfield was a British actress who enjoyed a diverse and rich career in film and television, working in everything from micro budgeted indie dramas to epic space operas to stomach-churning horror comedies, and everything in between. Born on December 19, 1993 in the Westminster neighborhood of London, Corfield came from a creative family: her mother, Emma Willis, was a fashion designer, employed by the label Jermyn Street. While at University College London, Corfield studied English literature, but she was soon bit by the acting bug, and decided to move to New York, where she studied method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. In 2014, Corfield made her film debut in a segment of the omnibus film "50 Kisses" (2014) entitled "Colton's Big Night." She next took on a supporting role in the period piece "Mr. Holmes" (2015), made a memorable cameo as a record shop employee in "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" (2015), and co-starred in the high concept Jane Austen horror parody "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" (2016). 2017 proved to be a breakout year for Corfield: she took supporting roles in two big budget action tentpoles, " Return of Xander Cage" (2017), and "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword" (2017), while also playing Tallissan "Tallie" Lintra in Rian Johnson's controversial blockbuster "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (2017), and taking a supporting role in the short-lived period drama series "The Halcyon" (ITV, 2017). After appearing alongside Asa Butterfield, Michael Sheen, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost in the horror comedy "Slaughterhouse Rulez" (2018), Corfield earned rave reviews for her first starring role, in director Jen McGowan's dramatic thriller, "Rust Creek" (2019).
